i need my philosophy on education. i need to sit and think about how i view the world and then sit and think how it applies to my education world.

i need time to think! i don't have that time.

i'm watching dateline on this missing girl cindy. she's been missing for 20+ years. they are about to find her body that was buried by this pedophile. this makes me so sad about the world. how will this aspect of the world affect my teaching philosophy? ugh, i don't even know.

i've been sick since tuesday night and i would not get sick all year and decide for this to happen when i have no health insurance. luckily i can feel it passing today. no fever, just intensely sore and swollen throat, headaches and achy body. apparently it's going around.

let's get original.

apparently attempted murder occurred friday night at mulligan's. who knew my place of employment was that dramatic? (actually i guess it sometimes is, but never up to svu or csi status. more like gossip girly). some OIT quiet long island-drinking man snapped and took our "serrated butterknife" (thank you DIAMONDBACK NEWSPAPER for fucking up a story: it actually was a regular dinner knife, our butterknives are definitely not serrated... what butterknives are?) from one of our tables, came back into the bar and proceeded to slash a frat boy. i'm not a big fan of frat boys, but MY GOD! he tried to cut his neck? he put a gash in his cheek and cut his freakin gums. yes, he went inside of his mouth with the "serrated butterknife." if that's not attempted murder, i don't know what is. right now he's being charged for first degree assault, but it's up in the air. we have it on video for godssake.

oh and fyi he's out on BAIL. crazy attempted killer man is out on bail and he lives in silver spring. his poor wife is preggers. his life is over. it kind of makes you feel bad, but then again, he tried to kill someone in the bar that i work at. and i complain my life isn't interesting.

in other news (like anything can top that story), i gave blood today. it was also the first time that anyone (including my doctor) stuck my vein on the first try. i didn't pass out or throw up, so i'd call it a success. plus, we got free noodles out of it and nothing can top noodles (except possibly chipotle, but i'll take it).

now i have to memorize a speech for my 8am. please kill me now. i mean not really... stabby mcstab stab is on the loose.

they denied me the health insurance that i wanted. they offered me something that doesn't cover prescriptions. aka i'm going to be paying 75$ for birth control/2 months and who knows how much for medicine when i get sick. and i get sick a lot.

the reason: i have migraines... and i had asthma... when i was 10.

they think i'm still being treated for asthma.

i'm not.

... and i take advil for migraines. i used a prescription for headache medicine once and did not refill it.

health insurance people = idiots. complete and utter.

i'm in the process of APPEALING. and no one's helping me. my dad doesn't know what he's doing. great, as if i didn't have enough things to do.
 

i'm thinking about applying to work at that restaurant that took over harry's, hopefully as bartender, but i have to go see if they're hiring today. the only bad part is that i'll be seeing 100% of burtonsville 100% of the time but i need the money. every tutoring job that i've looked at has something to do with math or i need a bachelor's degree - neither of the two fit my position. ugggh!
